Introduction
After the fall of the 'dot coms', the Bush/Gore Election, and then the worst of all, 9.11... The economony was on its way downhill.. And job opportunitiies were few and far bewtween.. Even though I had left IBM, I was still getting by doing freelance webdesign and as a House DJ on weekends. The few jobs that were available, I was much overrqualified for and usually didn't get the job because of my advanced degree.. But I willing to settle for anything, knowing that technology would come back, and I knew that I didn't want to be stuck in a cubicle all day. I started in this 'management training, program at thiscompany in Woburn called 'Tryus' Promotions.. One could call it an event-based direct marketing and promotions company, another might call it a straight-commission sales, pyramid-scheme type business. Regradless, it was fun, easy, and best of all, I learned all the things about marketing, sales, and management that they don,t teach you at Bentley. These concepts were actually part of the 'circiculum' that allowed one to advance to the next level. That and sales performnce of course. IWhile I did make, anyone with basic people skills could succeed as they Basic Sales methods which I later used in my carear as a real estate broker.

About 6months in, the parent company DSMAX. Had picked up a new promotion. Apparently, somebody had inventented this waterlesswash and wax for your car similar to what they use during the nascar racees and decided to marke it available to the general public in an aersol can. Honestly, this stuff was AMAZING. However, rather than use some TV commercial .. The company hired ours to market the product and get it into the consumer,s hands before placing it on the shelves of Wal-Mart.

Reasons for Leaving...
Not only did my preconceptions about the 'south' turn out to be true, it was even worse than I had expected. The $20 impulse was ot very effective when the average person had $2 in their pocket and the widespread territory made gave us less time in the field.
It was just before the hurricane and gas prices were going up...and peoples attitude at the pump was hard to turn over. Even though it was just about $2 down there. The whole
